I will be researching and creating an instructional unit to address the following instructional problem:
Students at the Adult Basic Education Center are unable to identify and apply the concepts, rules, and skills of addition in order to pass the GED math test.
As a result, a unit of instruction will be designed that will target addition as one basic skill that needs to be mastered so that students may "graduate" to the higher-order skills of algebra and geometry and pass the GED math test.
